Nautical Themed Cake Designs What we have here is a 1 shaped cake in theme of a nautical design. All decorations hand modelled from fondant icing. Fresh flowers and glass balls covered in fisherman's rope finished the look. (14, 10 and 6 rounds). Using my blue gel paste color, i dyed my white icing with few shades of blue and rolled them into 14 equal balls (different shades of blue). Original design featured teh black and white striped lighthouse in st augustines florida, but two days before the wedding, i found out the historic b & b would not allow a cake with those colors to be displayed indoors.
